Continuing Medical Education (CME) Presentation

Kaiser Permanente will conduct a certified Continuing Medical Education (CME) presentation expressly for its Santa Clara area physicians (Mt. View, Santa Clara, Milpitas, and San Jose) to explore Lewy Body Dementia. Presentation will include an introduction by a member of the KP Physician team, a screening of the Sue's Story documentary, and a post-screening discussion with The Sue's Story Project team.

Screening @ The Villages

April 11th , 2019 | 1-3 pm
The Villages
San Jose, CA

The Villages will host a screening of SUE’S STORY followed by a Q&A discussion about LBD awareness, caregiving resources, and research. Introduction and post-screening discussion will be led by The Sue's Story Project team. This free event is expressly for residents of The Villages.

The Sue's Story Project hosted a film screening and discussion of their work to Advisory Group members to increase awareness of Lewy Body Dementia and the need for caregiving resources and funding for research to find a cure. KP Physicians attended. Dr. Elena Call, MDS, and The Sue's Story Project team, responded to questions.

The San Jose Women’s Club and friends will host a screening of SUE’S STORY followed by a Q&A with a panel of medical/healthcare experts. This fundraising event is by invitation. Proceeds will benefit The Sue’s Story Project. Details to follow.

Annual Senior Resource Fair

The City of Morgan Hill is hosting its first-ever Senior Week, October 8-12. On October 12th, the SUE’S STORY documentary will be a featured attraction at the City’s Annual Senior Resource Fair. Screening will be followed by a Q&A with a panel of medical/healthcare experts. Dozens of exhibitors will provide resources for seniors attending the Fair. Admission is free.

SOURCEWISE Advisory Council

The Council is a legally mandated body that advises Sourcewise, the Area Agency on Aging of Santa Clara County, to further the Agency's mission of developing and coordinating community-based systems of service for older adults. The Sue's Story Project hosted a film screening and discussion of their work with Council members from more than a dozen cities in Santa Clara County.

Rock for a Reason Benefit Concert

Music as Language (a nonprofit) hosts its annual benefit concert with music performances by students paired with professional set musicians. This year’s theme is “the British Invasion,” with classic rock & roll from the British Isles. A portion of proceeds will benefit The Sue’s Story Project. Admission is free.
