Lewy Body Dementia Awareness Day

We love living in Morgan Hill, pop. 45,000, located about 20 miles south of San Jose. It’s a small city with a big heart. Our mission to build awareness and raise funds to find a cure for Lewy Body Dementia began here, and our community has come alongside us to support our efforts.

This week our City Council issued a proclamation declaring September 30th as Annual Lewy Body Dementia Awareness Day in Morgan Hill.

Mayor Pro Tem Rich Constantine read the proclamation aloud. Attendees applauded. What a great moment.

In one short year, our city is becoming a place where people with Lewy Body Dementia can live with purpose, dignity and hope until a cure is found. Thousands of our residents have a new awareness of LBD and dementia challenges in general.

Everywhere we go, people are wearing our purple wristbands, which are a great conversation-starter to talk about LBD. We will continue to invite family, friends, neighbors and colleagues to attend a screening of SUE’S STORY as we take our documentary on the road to other cities across Santa Clara County.
